Jeremiah 17:9,10

The heart is deceitful above all things,

and desperately corrupt;

who can understand it?

“I the LORD search the mind

and try the heart,

to give every man according to his ways,

according to the fruit of his doings.”

The human heart untested, unrefined by faith and time is a self-willed satan reigning in madness, incapable of understanding; there is no power above the self-willed heart.

Yahweh searches for faith and empathy within the soul testing the heart in the immediacy of every moment, every crisis, every breath.

What are we given? Sanity, strength to resist the madness, we reign over ourselves in the midst of evil. We are given power to image God in the midst of the self-willed godless who know only violence and idolatry. We are immovable, resting in a position of strength, of unfathomable power to stand straight in a crooked world. Our compassion, our integrity, our faith is the power that moves the world, it is the fruit of God’s testing.
